  • Dr. Pollock is a nutritionist and bone biologist whose research studies pertain to childhood growth and nutrition, body composition, skeletal metabolism, and bone mineral accretion and structural development across the lifespan. He has training in the fields of clinical nutrition, bone biology, endocrinology, and biostatistics. Dr. Pollock has clinical trial experience conducting diet and exercise interventions in children and adults at risk for cardiovascular disease and diabetes. The major focus in Dr. Pollock's laboratory is to determine the role of vitamin K-dependent proteins in the development of insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, and vascular dysfunction, which may have implications for diabetes and cardiovascular disease prevention.
