Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Project Narrative The proposed research is highly relevant to public health because sex hormones in women decline with aging while sex chromosomes alterations are unknown. Therefore, understanding how decline in estrogen impacts sex chromosomes in women is an important step towards improving health outcomes in menopausal women. Upon conclusion of this project, we will understand the interplay of sex hormones and chromosomes impact in vascular function which will identify novel targets for hormone therapy on the cardiovascular system.
