Biodegradable ceramic in periodontal defects

Abstract

Periodontal defects were created in all four quadrants of five dogs and filled with biodegradable tricalcium phosphate ceramic. Specimens were examined from 1 to 22 weeks after placement of the material. Results indicated excellent tissue tolerance and regeneration of lost periodontium.
