Abstract
Confluent and reticulated papillomatosis of Gougerot and Carteaud is an uncommon dermatosis of unclear cause that can be recalcitrant to therapy. We report the case of an 11-year-old black girt with the eruption in whom it completely cleared using tazarotene gel. The treatment was well-tolerated and we suggest considering topical tazarotene as an alternative to systemic retinoid therapy.
