Abstract
Non-Candida yeast have emerged as important causes of disseminated infection in compromised hosts. Invasive trichosporonosis is generally seen in severely immunocompromised patients, especially in neutropenic patients, in stem cell or solid organ transplant recipients, or in patients with underlying malignancy. We report a case of disseminated Trichosporon asahii infection in a patient whose only risk factor was low-dose but long-term oral corticosteroid use.
