Abstract
The procedure suggested has the following advantages: (1) it requires no additional appointments when fabricated concurrently with the final prosthesis; (2) the occlusal device uses the attachment manufacturers' components, providing predictable retention and replacement capability; and (3) the occlusal device incorporates the attachment manufacturers' radiopaque metal retaining rings, permitting radiographic visualization should the device be aspirated or swallowed.
