Abstract

The practice of endocrine surgery has been revolutionized by many breakthrough innovations. The introduction of new technology has driven a trend toward tailored surgery represented by a safer operations, improved outcomes, and enhanced patient satisfaction. In this chapter, we describe advancements in practice that have lead to cosmetically more favorable cervical incisions consistent with contemporary thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
