Abstract

The care of patients with GI bleeding can be challenging and requires clinicians to call upon their basic skills of hemodynamic resuscitation as well as advanced diagnostic and management abilities. With adherence to a focused management plan, however, the understanding of various management options, and the early assistance of the consultant, the resulting favorable outcomes make these some of the most rewarding cases one encounters in their practice of medicine.
