Abstract

This article explores the concept of a social holon. Grafting approaches proper to individual holons onto the analysis of social holons is a wayward form of methodological individualism-the latter abounding throughout the integral community as ideological symptom. Coupled with the lack of a robust multi-scaled historiography, this tact ends up disclosing parameters of contemporary political life in an imbalanced and ineffective manner. Turning to the examples of Foucault and others, we can instead unite our diagnoses of the present with enacting forms of political life in which our unique selves come to heed the call of a Kosmopolitan justice.
