Abstract

Reoperation for penile prosthesis implantation is examined in two parts. First, an attempt is made to identify the extent of the problem by sharing experiences at the Mayo Clinic and those with scientific merit reported in the literature. Each urologic operation has potential complications, and it is necessary for the physician who performs penile prosthetic surgery to know the literature, which will be critically analyzed here. Second, tips on surgical technique for reoperation for penile prosthesis failure or surgical complications associated with penile prosthetic devices are offered.
