Abstract

In photovoltaic system, the maximum power point tracking technology (MPPT)makes the input voltage and current of the pre-stage DC-DC converter in a two-stage grid connected inverter variable because of external factors such as light and temperature. In order to improve the stability of pre-stage boost converter under variable input, a switching liner parameter varying (LPV)model of boost converter is established. Based on the established model, a stable switching signal of boost converter is derived from Lyapunov stability criterion of nonlinear stability analysis. Then a new control strategy of boost converter is designed by the switching signal. Based on the bifurcation theory, the stability of the control model is analyzed. The results show that the control strategy can make the boost converter output the voltage with less ripple, and the analysis of a series of bifurcation diagrams shows that the boost converter will not be unstable under the control strategy. Finally, the theoretical results are verified by simulation.
