Abstract

Teaching significant figures using age conversion allows students to intuitively discover and discuss measurement uncertainties and conversion facrtors and the necessity of significant figures. By studying new concepts with familiar topics such as age, it is more comfortable to apply unfamiliar chemical measurements in later studies.
