Abstract
Two patients are described who developed delayed hemolytic transfusion reactions due to anti-Jka. The use of plasma exchange in these patients expedited their recovery by reducing the burden of hemolysis and by removing circulating anti-Jka antibodies. The decision to employ plasma exchange must be based on a consideration of the clinical status of the individual patient involved.
